What this means for you: When you open an investment account we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, tax payer or other government identification number and other information that will allow us to identify you. LPL Financial will also ask for you driver's license, passport or other identifying document numbers that help to establish your identity or the legal existence of the client opening the account.
